At Dart River Adventures we pride ourselves on being more than a jet boat ride – we are a journey of discovery.

Glenorchy boasts some of the Queenstown area’s most spectacular scenery, showing off dramatic mountain terrain, glaciers, alpine lakes and ancient beech forests.

Jet boats were originally designed to allow access into remote farming areas and can operate in very shallow (as little as 10 centimetres) water. Compared to a thrill ride, like Shotover Jet, Dart River Adventures uses this jet boat technology to take you into beauty of Te Wāhipounamu World Heritage Area.

The Dart River is a dynamic and technically challenging river as it is a braided system, which changes day to day. The skill of our drivers in navigating this river – and being the only jet boat operator licensed to operate on the river – ensures that you reach hidden treasures along the way.
