To our customers and community,

We are thrilled to announce that Dart River Adventures will re-open from Friday 10 September under Alert Level 2. We can't wait to welcome manuhiri back to Dart River Adventures. 


Please find further information below on how Dart River Adventures operates under all alert levels.


COVID-19 Alert Level Operating Procedures

Level 4: Temporarily closed.

Level 3: Temporarily closed.

Level 2: Open with restrictions;

  • Mandatory scan-in on arrival.
  • Mandatory mask use for all kaimahi (staff) and manuhiri (visitors). Free masks will be available onsite.
  • All manuhiri (visitors) to keep 2 metres apart at all times, both indoors and outdoors where possible, unless you are within the same bubble.
  • All kaimahi (staff) to keep at least 1 metre apart where possible.
  • While on board our jet boats, passengers and drivers will be distanced 1 metre apart, as far as reasonably possible. This limits each departure to 6 customers, if you are travelling with a bubble larger than 6pax (max. of 12pax) please contact our reservations team for availability and bookings.

Q: Do I have to wear a mask on the jet boat?

A: Yes, mask use is mandatory indoors and outdoors at Dart River Adventures for anyone over the age of 12, masks will be available on site. Any visitor who refuses to wear a mask will not be permitted.


Q: I’m based in Auckland and can no longer make my trip, can I get a refund?

A: Yes, any bookings affected by COVID-19 can be refunded or moved to another date. For all other booking our standard terms and conditions apply.


Q: What cleaning procedures are in place to ensure a safe environment?

A: Lifejackets and wetsuits are disinfected between each use, boat hand rails wiped between each use,  beach unit and jetty touch points are wiped down during setup and all our customer facing areas cleaned regularly during the day.


Q: My bubble is larger than 6pax, can we all go in the same boat?

A: Yes, if your bubble is greater than 6pax (up to 12pax) then you may all go in the same boat (with no other passengers). One seat must remain empty beside the jet boat driver. Please contact reservations@dartriver.co.nz to make a group booking.
